This issue comes to you with a beautiful section on Japanese poetry. The section
is edited by the eminent poet Abbas Panakkal. My invitation to Abbas to be the
Guest Editor to the issue was accepted by him with a very generous gesture. His
promised to introduce the most recent trends in Japanese poetry and he has done
it. On behalf of the readers of the Ezine, I extend my sincere gratitude to the
poet- editor.
The last issue was welcomed by readers in every part of the world for the richness
it had from the guest editor’s section on Iranian poetry. And the coming
issue will carry similar guest-edited sections on Palestinian poetry and Iraqi
poetry.
This, however, will not reduce the titles in the general sections.
When we launch the present issue, the Indian sub-continent mourns the death of
the greatest Gazal singer of the world, Mehdi Hassan.
I do not want to scribble a lengthy Editorial and stand in the way between the
magazine and the readers.
