I wait

C P Aboobaker

I wait the last bird to fly
    to the vacant horizon away
I wait the last dream to swell
in the deep slumber I am in
I wait the drop of dew to shine
On the tip of grass blade in the morn
I wait the dark layer of night to go
From the shore of forlorn voyages
I wait a white flower to bloom
In the valley of war and crime
I wait the white banner to rise
In avenues of peace and harmony
I wait the sun to rise
In the dawn of every morrow
And I wait the lone girl to pass by
The green field of my love
    I wait….
