The Difficult Years

Koon Woon

    This long night of dredging old songs
    Alone like a leaf
    Drifting down to cover the earth
    Mother long dead
    Dogs silent
    The difficult hours
    The void after a tapering rain
    Lost in my brain
    Are those I have lost
    Papa dead too
    Scales measure nothing
    The difficult memories
    Come back to haunt
    Was a man of honor
    Now a street punk
    Siblings all gone
    Commerce took them all
    Here we go around the absent professor hellip;
    Here we go around the absent professor...
    Not with a joy
    But with a thousand grimaces hellip;
