Market language
Dr. Rati Saxena
We smell life, ordinary life everywhere in the market of transactions in life. Rati shows her expertise not only in depicting lakes and love, but also the credentials of human and routine smells of life. I have a special liking for this poem
In the basket of the vegetable vendor
With onions, cucumbers and cauliflowers
Language able to get
Fresh greenness
In the smell of the fisherwoman
With her romantic walk
Language always gets
Strong smell
In the shop of the panvala
With kattha, chuna and supari
With unlimited talk
Language saves herself from drying up
When the whip of scholars hurts her
In the tight twist of language masters
Language runs towards the market
