Exam hall

Nihal Sahu

    As I enter the dungeon,
    My body it crumbles,
    Grace and Vigour depart,
    Awkwardness takes over.
The growls and roars of restless animals,
    Like myself,
    Surround me...

Pavlovian dogs waiting for the bell,
We, are made to bite and tear,
    Spit and fight,
Still we sit with suppressed hearts and brainwashed minds,
Waiting for a very un-miltonian hell
So we can sit and write,
And shade and sit silently with spite ,
    Here studies prevail,
    Education has disappeared
    Without even a trace
    Of the glory and thoughts,
    And not molecules and dates

    The glory is long past,
    A ferry into the last
    But we wait yet again
    Bloodthirsty animals,
    Shouted at and snubbed
We wait in an exam hall
