Himalayan brook

Arunansu Banerjee

    I peel off my shadows
hide the rinds in blue sage shrub
    and in pink lilies' smile
    soft-spoken rivulet
    cascades over rocks

    filtered sunshine
    lights up waxflower umbels
    fragrant flames
    attract birds and bees
    busy stream takes no notice
