Veil of life

Gopal Lahiri

Glimpsed of your shadow on the wall, on the terrace
Ragged and earn dubious pleasures in stimuli,
Steady gloom via sweet memories of honey
Want to hide and escape in the deep darkness like
Stars in the tiniest of forms praying for rain
Undone by the larky steps of the fading clouds,
Light and shadows that blends love and loss in your life
The dense and intense look betrays the sweating face
Each note of glowing living creatures looms large
That the power you stand for always unlike others
And none cry out as we drift apart in slow speed,
Dripping air and silent music lure in a way
That goes to the heart of the blistering comet
Soft-footed moon lifts the veil of life at the end
